Women & Problem Gambling
Wednesday, January 22nd
Does your group or organisation work with women in the Tameside or Oldham area? Are the women you see affected by:
• Relationship difficulties including domestic abuse
• Housing issues
• Depression and anxiety
• Feelings of isolation or suicidality
Through funding from the Tampon Tax Fund, GamCare are offering free training and support for groups and agencies on Women and Problem Gambling.
GamCare is a national provider of free information, advice and support for anyone affected by problem gambling.
We have some knowledge and research around women and problem gambling but we want to know more. That’s why we’ve launched a service entirely focused on supporting women to encourage them to seek support and speak out about problem gambling.
We are offering free training packages to upskill staff around early identification, advice, signposting and referral. You will also have a single point of contact for ongoing support and advice.
By working together we can reduce gambling related harm experienced by women and increase access to our free support and treatment services.
Places are limited and is by booking only.
For further information and to book please contact Nadine Ashworth, Women's Project Outreach Officer North-West firstname.lastname@example.org
