Hollingworth Lake Country Park Ramble
Saturday, January 12th
On Saturday 12th Janary 2019 we will be doing another new ramble route to start the year off. Managed by Rochdale Council the trails around Hollingworth Lake and the visitor centre enable people to explore the variety of habitats including woodland and wetland, and enjoy the stunning views across the lake to the moors beyond.
Meet at 11am in the main car park, parking is free for Blue Badge holders or £5 for those without.
'In Victorian times Hollingworth Lake was known as the "The Weighvers' Seaport". Now once again visitors can enjoy many outdoor attractions and an excellent Visitor Centre. Spanning 118 acres with the dramatic backdrop of Blackstone Edge, the lake is one of the most popular days out in the area.' Visit Rochdale website.
People bringing their own Trampers, BATECs and other mobility equipment are also welcome - book a 'Ramble only' ticket with Eventbrite (family and PAs go free!).
