A serving Greater Manchester Police officer is to face a misconduct hearing over allegations that he used racist language while talking with a fellow officer.
An investigation by the Independent Office for Police Conduct claims there is a case to answer against Police Sergeant Philip King after reviewing footage taken from a body worn camera.
The case was referred to inspectors by the Greater Manchester Force after they looked at the video as part of a separate investigation.
The footage is said to have contained a conversation between the two policemen during which it is alleged racist language was used.
Greater Manchester Police are understood to have agreed with the findings of the investigation and have scheduled a hearing to take place on the 8th and 9th of July.
