The famous Street Eat Festival returns to Rochdale this weekend (Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th May) and this year it’s plastic free.
The event, held at Rochdale Town Square at The Esplanade has attracted thousands of people over the years, reminding people that Rochdale is home to some of the most delicious restaurants in Greater Manchester.
The idea behind the festival is to bring locals together to try dishes from various local restaurants in the borough. This year there will be 10 stalls, offering food and drinks.
Town Centre Manager, Paul Ambrose said, “The idea behind Street Eat is to support the town centre’s food and drink businesses, it’s a great opportunity for people to come along and try some of the dishes in a friendly atmosphere.
It’s to remind people that Rochdale has a very strong food offer. The event was very successful last year and I’m sure it will be again.”
