Police appealing for information after robbery at McColl’s store in Rochdale

Officers are appealing for information after the McColl’s store on Kenyon Lane in Rochdale was robbed.

At around 9:40am on Sunday 19th March 2019, two offenders threatened staff at the McColl’s store and demanded that the staff handed over a quantity of cash.

Police believe that one of the men was in possession of a firearm, while the second man is believed to have been wielding a knife. Staff were left shaken, but no one was injured during the incident.

Both offenders were described as white and in their early 20’s, they fled in a white 3 door Audi A3  with cash and items from behind the tills.

One man was believed to be wearing a black hoodie with grey sleeves and a large white Nike Air logo down the back. The second offender was wearing a navy hoodie with navy pants and dark coloured trousers.

Anyone who has any information about the robbery should call police on 0161 856 4640, quoting incident number 726 of 19/05/2019. Details can also be passed on anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
