23-year old David was taken to hospital with stab wounds, where he sadly died.

His family are being supported by specially trained officers.

A 25-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of murder and assault has been released under investigation.

Police are continuing to appeal for information.

Detective Chief Inspector Cheryl Chatterton of GMP’s Major Incident Team, said, “Our thoughts remain firmly with David’s family at this terrible time.

While our investigations continue, they are being offered support from specialists as they deal with this devastating news.
