Oldham have beaten Friday's signing deadline by securing the services on loan of a second Featherstone Rovers youngster.
Having signed 20-year-old prop Jimmy Beckett on a similar loan arrangement, Roughyeds have now signed his fellow Rovers team mate Kiedan Hartley, a 19-year-old winger or full-back.
Both are shown on the Rovers website as members of their first-team squad -- and both have joined Oldham on loan to the end of the season.
A Leeds boy, Hartley played for amateurs East Leeds from the age of five before signing for Leeds Rhinos on scholarship at the age of 14.
He stepped up to the academy at the age of 16 and had two years at that level before joining Featherstone on a one-year deal that will soon be coming to an end.
He played for England Youth at under-15s and under-16s and although he's been playing this season in the same Rovers reserves side as Beckett, he's looking for more regular rugby at a more senior level, as is Beckett.
Said Hartley: "I'm hoping to get more game time, playing week to week. I've done some research and I know Oldham will probably be in the play-offs and will be pushing for promotion.
"I'm really looking forward to being involved in all that."
