Rochdale will be the first visitors to newly promoted Tranmere Rovers when the new League One season gets underway on Saturday 3rd August.
Dale have released their full fixture list today (Thursday 20th June) along with all the other teams in the Football League as the countdown to the new season steps up a gear.
Brian Barry-Murphy’s side will open up their campaign at the Crown Oil Arena a week later on Saturday 10th August with Doncaster Rovers providing the opposition.
They’ll then feature for the first time in the Carabao Cup four days later although their opponents will only be revealed once the draw takes place.
Rochdale will round out August with visits from Sunderland and Blackpool after a trip to Shrewsbury Town on 17th August.
Newly relegated Ipswich Town head to the Crown Oil Arena in September (7th) while there is a Greater Manchester derby against Bolton Wanderers at the University of Bolton Stadium on 19th October.
Bury will visit Dale on 14th December before Brian Barry-Murphy’s players set off on the busy Christmas schedule with a trip to Burton Albion on the 21st before spending Boxing Day at home against Fleetwood Town.
They’ll then travel to Gillingham on the 29th before a trip to Accrington Stanley on New Years’ Day and either a visit from AFC Wimbledon on the 4th January or a game in the third round of the FA Cup, which Dale will make their debut in this season in the first round on Saturday 9th November.
Rochdale will bring the curtain down on their home season on Saturday 25th April against Peterborough United before the campaign ends with a trip to Lincoln City on Sunday 3rd May.
