Rochdale have continued their recruitment drive ahead of the second half of the season with the news that they’ve signed Ethan Hamilton on loan from Manchester United.
The 20-year old arrives at the Crown Oil Arena until the end of the season.
Speaking to the club’s official website, Ethan said: “I’m delighted to come here.”
“To play proper men’s football is going to be great. It’s something I need in my development and I’m really grateful for the opportunity to come here.”
“I’m a type of player that will give everything. I’ve got quite a lot of energy, I like to go box-to-box and get involved. I’ll try and perform to the best of my ability.”
The versatile midfielder, who can also play in defence, has been with Manchester United since the age of 16, having come down south from Hutchison Vale, a local boys club based in Edinburgh.
He’s captained the Old Trafford club’s under-18s and has been a regular for their under-23s.
The Scot has also been named in United’s matchday squad for their Emirates FA Cup fifth round win over Huddersfield Town last season.
