Rochdale’s quest to tie down as many of last season’s squad as possible has continued with the news that striker Aaron Wilbraham will be celebrating his 40th birthday as a member of Dale’s team.
The 39-year old would have been out of contract at the end of June.
He’s now avoided parting ways with the club by signing a new one-year contract at the Crown Oil Arena.
Having joined the club in July 2018, Wilbraham appeared in 23 games for Rochdale, bagging four goals in the process, including one strike against Portsmouth which netted him the 2018/19 Goal of the Season award.
Speaking to the club’s official website, Wilbraham said: “I’m delighted to sign a new deal, especially after the way we finished last season.
