With just minutes to go before the January Transfer Window closed, Rochdale added another name to their squad and it was one familiar to Dale fans.

23-year old Zach Clough has sealed his return to the Crown Oil Arena from Championship side Nottingham Forest on loan until the end of the season.

The forward spent the first half of this season with Dale but was dogged by injuries, appearing only nine times before returning to his parent club at the start of January.

He now returns fully fit and told the club’s official website he’s raring to get going: “Hopefully this time I can prove to everyone what I can do, and help the Club stay up in this league," said Clough.

"I’ve overcome my injury. I was out for eight weeks with it. I’ve been back training for three weeks with Forest, so I’m raring to go.

"It’s a big 16 games coming up and with the fans’ support I’m sure we can kick on and keep ourselves in this division."
