Rochdale narrowly miss out to AFC Wimbledon

Rochdale narrowly missed out on a win against AFC Wimbledon - with the final score 3 - 2 .

It was the Dons first win, for the first time in 12 attempts in League One.

Dale offered up little going forward in the first half but were offered a crumb of hope midway through the second.

Veteran forward Ian Henderson notched his fifth of the season, before doubling his tally with a close-range header in stoppage time, but it was too little, too late for a comeback.

Manager Brian Barry Murphy said:"We created the chances, but it was just a matter of how many of those we could convert.

"We didn't defend well enough in the first half.

"It's also how you react in the second half, but we keep chasing games."
