Rochdale beat Carlisle United 2 -1

Rochdale are celebrating after beating Carlisle United 2 -1 in the second round of the Carabao Cup last night.

Rochdale had goals from Aaron Morley and Matt Done, as they hosted Carlisle United at The Crown Oil Arena last night.

They're now through to the third round of the competition, for the first time since 2011.

Manager Brian Barry Murphy has praised his squad, in particular the scorers.

Aaron Morley has only just got on the scoresheet recently.

Murphy said; "It was an exciting night.

"Carlisle were a credit to themselves and played well.

"But some of Rochdale's players were exceptional and it was a good game.

"I really enjoyed it."

Rochdale play Southend away on Saturday.
