With just hours to go until the January Transfer window closes, Rochdale have added more options at the top end of the pitch by signing Rekeil Pyke from Huddersfield Town.
The 21-year old has agreed a deal at the Crown Oil Arena until the end of the season.
Pyke came through the ranks with the Terriers, having joined the club when he was just 11-years old, he was offered his first professional deal in 2015.
Since then he has gained valuable experience while out on loan at League Two Colchester United, Port Vale and most recently Wrexham in the National League.
He returned to the Welsh side at the start of this season and has been an ever present in their side as they pushed for promotion and a return to the Football League.
Speaking to Rochdale’s official website, Pyke said: “I’m looking forward to the new challenge and seeing what the rest of the season brings.”
“It’s a step up in the leagues for me but I’m relishing the opportunity to play in League One and I can’t wait to get started.”
