Oldham Athletic have confirmed the departure of one of their strikers after less than a full season at the club.
Ishmael Miller arrived at Boundary Park in the summer, signing a one-year deal, but it’s been confirmed that deal has been terminated with immediate effect.
Miller arrived at the club having been out of football for two years and took his time to get back up to speed but had started to have an impact on the first team in recent games.
Indeed the 31-year old former West Bromwich Albion forward, scored four times for Latics in 18 games although he hadn’t found the back of the net since the game against Stevenage back at the start of November.
His last game for Oldham Athletic was two days before Christmas during their 3-2 defeat at home against Exeter City.
In a short statement on the club’s official website, Oldham Athletic have said: “We would like to thank him for his services and wish him the best of luck for the future.”
