Oldham Athletic have completed their first signing of the January transfer window with the news that Mohamed Sylla has agreed a deal and signed an 18-month contract at Boundary Park.
As we reported last week, the deal was due to go through within the first days of 2019, with the 25-year old moving to the club from French side Entente SSG in the Championnat National.
Sylla has made 42 appearances for the third-tier club.
Speaking to the club’s official website, Sylla said: “I’m very pleased to be here and I hope to perform at my best for this club.”
“I’ve been around the club for a week now and I’ve been impressed by the fans from the game I watched against Notts County.” He added.
“They’re really passionate in their support and I can’t wait to get out there to show everybody what I can do.
“I like to be a shield in front of the defence, but I also like the role of going box-to-box, so hopefully I can contribute at both ends of the pitch.”
